What a committee day!

If you couldn't be there, you clearly missed something: a strong community get-together!

The KTG Members' Meeting 2025 in Leipzig was more than just a must-attend event - it was living proof of how much energy, inventiveness and passion there is in our specialist community!

  • The Decommissioning, Waste Management & Radiation Protection specialist group kicked off with an informative session - hybrid, interactive and cutting-edge.
  • The Young Generation workshop not only discussed projects, but also real visions: An initiative for teaching nuclear technology in schools, including funding ideas, was just one of the topics discussed.
  • Emotional highlight: the introductory words from director João Pedro Prado on the making of his film "Division", which was then watched together - with many thoughtful faces and exciting conversations. (By the way: Now also available in the ZDF media library available. Clear recommendation!)
  • In the evening, things got cosy - and informative at the same time: at the get-together with representatives from CoreD and the Poster Session of the Federal Company for Final Disposal (BGE) The event provided up-to-date insights into Konrad, Asse, Morsleben & Co. and plenty of opportunity for personal dialogue with the speakers.

And as if all that wasn't enough:

The next day was the excursion to the Wismut GmbH - A fascinating insight into the former uranium mine in Schlema-Alberoda, including a tour of the slagheap, radiological remediation and water treatment plant. Impressive. Instructive. Moving.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped plan, contributed, discussed or simply attended. You made this committee day what it was: strong in terms of content. Connecting on a human level. And simply really good.

We are already looking forward to the next meeting!
