SAVE THE DATE: KTG General Meeting 2021 on 4 May 2021 in Berlin
The trade journal atw - International Journal for Nuclear Power reports in technical articles, background reports, interviews and news on developments and trends from all important areas of nuclear energy technology and industry. International topicality and expertise make the magazine a valuable source of information.
atw will be published six times a year from 1 January 2022. In order to better serve our German readership, atw will once again be published in German as the main language from issue 1/2022, although international specialist articles or interviews can still be published in English. All relevant KTG news will once again be published in the main issue, as will, of course, the KTG Inside congratulations.

To the Promotion of the next generation of scientists and engineers In 1993, KTG endowed the Karl Wirtz Prize for outstanding achievements in the field of nuclear technology or related disciplines.
The €3,000 prize is usually awarded every three years for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of nuclear technology or related disciplines. Young scientists and engineers with a work or research focus in Germany can apply for the prize.
The jury for the award is usually made up of two university professors and an industry representative.
Prof. Dr Karl Wirtz (1910 - 1994) was a member of Prof. Heisenberg's working group at the former Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Berlin and played a key role in the founding of the Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Centre.
