The energy supply of tomorrow - who is dedicated to this question? 2026 Overseas Excursion to the international fusion research project ITER in Cadarache (Southern France), which is initiated by the Industry and Business Working Group (AIW) and carried out in cooperation with the Nuclear Engineering Society.

The excursion is specifically aimed at Students, doctoral candidates and early-career researchers, who are interested in future energies, fusion technology, data science, and AI applications in energy research.

A special highlight is the visit to the ITER centre, offering a rare opportunity to view the Tokamak up close during its ongoing assembly phase. The programme is complemented by expert lectures, discussions, and networking opportunities on the Aix-Marseille University campus.
