With the Konrad repository mine, Germany is facing a crucial step in the disposal of low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste. But where does the project stand today? In this lecture, we take a well-informed look behind the scenes of one of the most important nuclear waste disposal infrastructure projects. The focus will be on the current project status, safety-related fundamentals, and the role of KONRAD within the overall waste disposal system in Germany.<\/span><\/p>
